Day 01 : Arrival Kochi/Cochin |
|
|
Arrival at the Kochi
International Airport/Railway station meet and greet and
transfer to hotel. After fresh up Proceed for a Half-day sight
seeing of Cochin. A few interesting sites included in the tour
are the Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square,
The Chinese fishing nets erected on teak wood and bamboo poles
work on the principle of balance. Vasco Da Gama Square, the
narrow promenade that parallels the beach, is the best place
to watch the nets being lowered and pulled out of the sea,
also visit Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate,
Bastion Bungalow etc.Enjoy sunset view.Overnight at Kochi

Day 02 : Kochi – Munnar |

After breakfast at hotel drive
to Munnar via Chayappara Waterfalls Check into hotel. Visiting
Bothamedu View Point also called as Pothamedu, This is the
location from where a number of the area’s plantations can be
viewed from a single point. Coffee plantations, tea plants and
cardamom fields are all here to behold. Overnight at Munnar. |

Day 03 : Munnar |

After breakfast enjoy full day
site seeing visit Eravikulam National Park , After driving
about half an hour north from Munnar, you will have to take a
short and reasonably difficult trek to get to this park – but
the effort will be worth it. The reward is 97kms of forested
valley and rolling hills occupied by an array of wildlife. The
ibex, lion-tailed macaque and the nilgiri tahr are among three
of the most interesting creatures inhabiting the park. Also
visit , Nayamakad Waterfalls, Tea Museum , A fascinating
insight into the production of one of the world’s most popular
drinks can be discovered at the Kundale Tea Plantation. Watch
and learn the process of how tea is made starting from the
plant you see covering the landscape all the way to the tea
cup. Sundays the local planters gather together, making it an
ideal time to visit. Visit Devikulam This is arguably one of
the most picturesque spots in the world. This tiny hill
station located only 7kms from Munnar is a paradise of flora
and fauna, with spanning views of the picture perfect
countryside. The crystal mineral waters of Sita Devi lake,
teeming with freshwater trout, provide the perfect spot for an
idyllic countryside picnic.
Visit, Christ Church This curiously Western-looking building
was built in 1910 by the British settlers in Munnar. The
stained-glass windows are among the most interesting features,
while plaques standing in memory of British tea planters offer

Day 04 : Munnar – Kodaikanal |

Kodaikanal visit Palani Temple afternoon check into the hotel,

Day 05 Kodaikanal |
|
|
After breakfast start your full
day site seeing Cruise in Kodai Lake, A magnificent
star-shaped lake glitters like a jewel amidst the emerald
green wooded slopes. This 24 hectare lake is skirted by 5 Kms
long, black tapped road is focal point of kodai, This lake was
created in 1863 by Sir Vere Hendry Levinge, who was the
collector of Madurai, retired and settled in kodai. visiting
Brayants Park, This park is situated on the eastern side of
the lake. It is noted for flowers, hybrids and grafts, Cut
flowers are exported from here.A glass house which shelters
fine varieties of flowers, Flower show is conducted every year
in May as part of summer festival. Coakers Walk, It derives
the name Lt. Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodai. Coakers
Walk runs along a steep, emerald green wooded slope. From
Coakers Walk one can have a breath-taking view of the plains
below. Green Valley View, it commands a beautiful view of
entire vaigai dam, As the valley is very deep, dense and
dangerous, recommended to see with precautionary measures,
visit The Piller rock. Three boulders stand shoulder to
shoulder vertically measuring of about 122 meters providing a

Day 06 Kodaikanal – Thekkedy |

After breakfast proceed to
Thekkedy. Check into your hotel, after freshup visit Periyar
Lake, The rich forest area of Periyar in Thekkady is one of
the worlds most fascinating natural wildlife reserves. Spread
in an area of 777 sq km, of which 360 sq.km is thick evergreen
forest, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a tiger
reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the
Mulla Periyar dam across the Periyar river adds to the charm
of the park. Here, you can enjoy the unique experience of
observing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat
on the lake. Though the greatest attraction of Periyar are the
herds of wild elephants, you can also see gaur, sambar deer,
tiger, jungle cat, sloth bear and wild boar which can be
sighted from the boats. There are about 265 species of birds

Day 07 Thekkedy – Alleppey |

After breakfast Proceed to
Alleppey Check into your Luxurious House Boat/Hotel , rest of
the day at your leisure to enjoy the nature beauty. At the
heart of the Backwaters is this area known as the rice bowl of
Kerala. Scenic countryside, glittering waterways and lush
farms greet visitors at every turn. Even more amazing is that
the farms are below sea level, so the waterways are actually

Day 08 Alleppey –
Kanniyakumari |
|

After breakfast proceed to
Kanniyakumari. Check into your hotel afternoon visiting
Kanyakumari Temple The temple overlooks the shoreline. It is
dedicated to Parvati as Devi Kanya, the Virgin Goddess who did
penance to obtain the hand of Lord Shiva. The deity, Devi
Kanyakumari is the protector of Indias shores has an
exceptionally brilliant diamond on her nose ring which is
supposed to shine out to sea. The temple opens from 0430 to
1130 and from 1730 to 2030. Non-Hindus are not allowed into
the sanctuary, then visit Vivekanandha Rock, this memorial to
Swami Vivekananda was built in 1970. Vivekananda was a social
reformer and saint of modern India. He is supposed to have
meditated on the rock where the memorial stands , then visit
the Gandhi Mandapam, constructed at the spot where the urn
containing the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi was kept for public
view before a portion of its contents was immersed in the
three seas. It resembles an Oriyan temple and was designed so
that on Gandhijis birthday (2nd October), the suns rays fall
